Vee explains that she moved to the Peninsula in 2009 at age 23, where she landed a job with Trigger Brothers and immediately fell into a life filled with surfing. Over the years, the Peninsula has become home for Vee, her partner, and their daughters — a place where they live, work, and create together.

Throughout her 17 years with Trigger Brothers, Vee has explored many sides of the business. What began as a role in the shop soon led her into the factory, where she truly found her rhythm. She started hand-sanding boards, applying filler coats, and installing fin boxes, discovering how much she enjoyed being part of the craftsmanship behind each board produced.

Teaming up with Hannah to create Trigger Sisters has given Vee the opportunity to help build surfboards for women, by women. She notes how inspiring it has been to design boards with unique colours and material inlays, and how energising the support from the growing women’s surf community has been.

Outside of work, Vee is deeply involved in creative projects. She runs her own jewellery brand — Vee By The Sea — where she makes ocean-inspired pieces available on Etsy. Creativity, she says, is a central part of her life and something she loves sharing with her daughters as they make jewellery, craft together, and explore new ideas.

She also enjoys indoor rock climbing, which keeps her active, challenged, and motivated.
