The Epoxy Microlite Filler 1oz 29ml gives you the best way to keep you and your Epoxy & PU boards surfing great. When you get a ding with damage to the foam of your board the Microlite Filler is the best way to fill in and strengthen your repair. The unique Solarez UV resin formula gives you the fastest strongest board repair. There’s no mixing. So it goes on straight out of the tube.
The Microlite filler is ultralight, so great for filling in larger areas and deep holes. If the hole is deep fill it in step-by-step exposing each layer to direct sun, then filling in another layer till nearly flush. You would typically then use our SOLAREZ UV resin as the final layer to seal the repair, that can be purchased separately.
The filler solar-activated catalyst sets fast. Only 5 seconds to gel and 3 minutes to cure once exposed to direct sunlight. It hardens strong, remaining stable with a special non-yellowing additive. So you get a super-fast, white surfboard repair without being tacky or sticky. The SOLAREZ board repair finish is dry and hard. Sand and dirt won’t stick to your repair.
For deeper cuts use MEKP catalyst.
The way to approach your Microlite Filler repair is to apply it first in the shade. When you’ve got your layer filled or area covered then expose to direct sunlight. When dealing with a curved rail repair, or even a flat section, use plastic wrap over the top to smooth out the surface. A slightly stiffer plastic will hold the shape of the rail. Expose to sunlight and the filler will have the curved shaped.
