Trigger Bros RazorÂ
In 1967, Phil Trigger and I acquired a 9'6" Razor Mal from Fred Pyke of Torquay—an instant leap forward in surfboard design. At the time, it was the pinnacle of surfboard technology, but little did we know that the 8-foot, McTavish-inspired Vee bottom boards would soon take over, ushering in the shortboard revolution.Â
The Razor was a massive upgrade from the heavy 10-foot logs we had been riding for the past few years—finally, something more agile and responsive.
Fast forward to today, and we’ve taken the essence of that classic Razor and fine-tuned it into a modern-day marvel: the Trigger Bros. Razor. It draws inspiration from the timeless design of a Logger but with a slimmer, more refined profile—especially through the rails, which is where the Razor got its name back in '67.Â
Key features of the Razor include a classic "Nose Rider" rocker, a rolled Vee bottom for smooth rides, and a slightly wider shape through the hips, finishing with a thin, square tail for precision and control.Â
Whether you’re regularly getting toes on the nose or just looking to dial in your ride, the Trigger Bros. Razor will get you there in style.Â
