This Gordon Woods is one of the first of five foam boards sold by Joe Sweeney in Victoria in 1961 to Chris and Stephen Snell's father who was nicknamed "The Saint" His logo can still be see on the deck. When Joe received the five boards all had expanded foam and sunken stringers, so Joe complained and was told to get what he could for them. Because of their incrediable light weight compared to balsa they sold straight away for full price.
